Table pads have been around over 100 years. It is one of the few items made today that has the same workmanship quality as it was offered decades ago. Most tablepads manufactured from years ago are still functional today. As a matter of fact, table pads often outlive the table itself. Chances are your mother or grandmother had or still has pads that you remember seeing over the years. Today table pads are even better than they used to be. We now use a fiberboard inner core which is superior to the older cardboard table pads that were made years ago. Fiberboard table pads are much sturdier and are not susceptible to humidity. Another advantage of fiberboard table pads is that they are much lighter and can be stored laying flat or standing up.
